The next Annual Power Engineering Exchange [APEX] Summit 2020 is being held at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch on Tuesday 22nd September.
It will gather graduate engineers of any discipline (electrical, mechanical, civil, etc.) involved in power supply projects, as well as students interested in a career in the industry. Past attendees valued their APEX experience for the knowledge gained, the opportunity to network and the chance to brush up their presentation skills.
Engineering Innovations for Carbon Zero
Engineering is all about solving problems, doing things smarter and innovating creative techniques to resolve complex problems such as reducing carbon and the impact to our environment. How can we deliver electricity with less environmental impact and at a lower cost, with improved safety outcomes? How can we engineer solutions to achieve these objectives?
Engineering technology improvements for carbon zero are occurring at a faster rate than anytime in history, the introduction of solar, network control systems, automation systems, and plant efficacy upgrades all contribute to a reduction in carbon.
Engineers' need to be innovative in design and approach, bring new ideas and Engineering Innovations for Carbon Zero, and to deliver electricity more reliable than ever before due to the demands and expectations of our customers.
Developing an Engineering Innovations is sometimes through an engineer asking a question and looking at a problem through a new perspective. Implementing an Engineering Innovation can mean having to influence management and senior engineers to try something new, applying more than engineering skills.
At this year's APEX Summit, we look forward to listening to presenters able to show Engineering Innovations for Carbon Zero and how the innovations have been applied or can be applied to achieve carbon zero.
Sponsorship opportunities are available to companies wanting to support the event, market their brand and achieve recognition as a key supporter of young engineers, APEX and EEA.
