Joining the EEA gives members… The opportunity to be engaged and to be part of a collective industry voice. The EEA represents its members on engineering, health and safety, asset management, standards and professional development issues to Government, regulators and professional bodies. Members can participate in setting technical and safety benchmarks by commenting draft EEA submissions, whilst the EEA promotes its members' views in a strong and single voice. Up to date technical and safety guidelines and best practice documents. The EEA develops and maintain collective risk management rules and guidance in order to help members maintain appropriate technical and safety standards. The EEA is focused on excellence in industry performance and continually reviews, updates and educates industry on engineering and safety processes. Access to a pool of information on key industry news and issues. The EEA is committed to keeping its members informed about key industry issues, including legislation changes, safety and asset management reports, statistics and trends, industry events, and many other topics. Members are kept up-to-date through regular mail bulletins, Newsletters and access to the EEA website. An independent forum to exchange and debate the needs of the industry. The EEA organise regular events offering a platform for networking, professional development, information sharing and opinion gathering. The EEA Annual Conference is the main engineering event for the New Zealand power industry, but many other national and regional events give members the opportunity to raise their voice and exchange their views. Professional development support all along our members' career. The EEA delivers professional development training to industry engineers using New Zealand and overseas consultancies and universities specialising in the power industry. These training events include, engineering courses run in conjunction with the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) School of Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering, and Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) courses on collaboration with Safety Wise Solutions (SWS). |

We have three levels of corporate memberships available based on asset size (Asset Owner) or turnover (Non Asset Owner). This removes the uncertainty over which category to choose from and makes sure all member organisations are in the category that reflects their size and status within the electricity supply industry. Each provide members with access to our industry safety practice guidelines, various industry reports, newsletters, statistics and benefits within the network of the industry.
The EEA offers your organisation and staff the opportunity to participate in setting technical and safety benchmarks while being regularly updated on the industry and issues affecting it - information which is relevant to your organisation and your staff's role and function. You'll be given priority sponsorship opportunities at EEA events and have privy access to number of EEA and industry documents and reports along with many other benefits such as event registration discounts as a member. As part of the Corporate Membership packages there are 'complimentary' Individual Memberships included, the EEA will need to be advised who the nominated members from you organisation will be email: admin@eea.co.nz. Those you nominate will need to complete an Individual Membership Application. Additional individual memberships above the amount of complimentary individual memberships are at an additional cost of $210.00* per member per annum.
