Invitation for Nominations - EEA Executive Committee Elections 2019-2021
Nominations for our Executive Committee (Board) are now open and will close Tuesday 7th May. The election is held electronically from Wednesday 29th May. The EEA Board sets the strategy and monitors performance around our work in engineering, safety and health and professional development. Being on the Board is a chance to contribute to the future of the industry, give back to the profession and make a difference. A good board debates issues from a range of perspectives. It needs directors with a mix of strengths, who can contribute something unique and valuable to the culture and vision of the EEA. Board members also bring their individual experience and networks. Having a diverse Board that reflects the range of our membership means we capture a range of viewpoints and make better decisions. This means representing a range of disciplines, ages and career stages - as well as being diverse in terms of gender and ethnicity.
Election of Officers of the Association
The election covers the Senior Office Holder positions of President, Vice-President and seven elected members. The successful candidates will be announced at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Auckland on Tuesday 25th June.
The prerequisites for becoming a Board member is being a financial Full Member of the EEA. If you are considering standing, take a look at our strategy and the profiles of our current Board members. Think about what you might add to that mix if you took up this governance role.
Further information about the nomination process, official nomination form, voting and important dates are available to EEA Members on the Members Only area of the EEA website - Stand for the EEA Executive.
