EEA Photo Competition 2022
Firstly, a big thank you to all of our members that took the time to submit an entry into this years photo competition. We received nearly 30 amazing images and the voting results were quite close between those that came out on top but there was a clear favourite.
Secondly, we also want to thank the members that took the time to review the images and submit their votes. Without this level of participation we would not have a successful result to share with you.
Finally, we are planning to hold this competition again in 2023 so next time you are out and about, get snapping as you may just capture the next winning image.
The Results
Winner - The winning image was submitted by Brian Campbell from Connetics. The image description is 'Ice buildup on an 11kV line after a hoar frost in Ophir'. Brian's winning image will be used on the EEA 2022/2023 Annual Report cover and Brian will also receive a complimentary delegate registration for the EEA2023 Conference in Christchurch.
Second - The image that came in second in the voting results was submitted by Chris Armstrong of Network Waitaki. The image description is 'Network Waitaki attending a snow response in the Waitaki Valley'.
Third (Equal) - The third spot is tied between Dylan Page from Electrix with his image below described as 'Electrix workers completing jumper installation and setting up for Spacering on the ROX-ISL-A Transmission Line'.
And: The below image submitted by Rodie Macrae of Network Waitaki described as 'Snow Storm repairs in Omarama'.
