Principles for Permit Areas (Guide)

This Technical Guide provides guidance on the principles applicable to the management of permit areas as defined in the SM-EI.

Issues regarding the principles applicable to permit areas and permit area boundary marking were identified in early 2004. A research process identified a variance of understanding of the application of permit area management principles, and as a result a consultation was undertaken with the industry, and a consensus of understanding obtained.

The Guide was first produced in July 2006, and has been reviewed and updated, the key amendments being; General review of language, references, text etc Updated to be compliant with current SM-EI
