Power Systems Earthing Practice (Draft) Guide - Feedback Workshop

Purpose of the workshop

Over the last 18 months a working group has been reviewing the EEA Power System Earthing practice guide. The formal consultation process closed 23rd February 2019. This workshop provides engineers with an overview of the guide, what is included, what has changed, the reasons for changes and the opportunity to provide technical feedback.

The workshop is aimed at engineers, project managers, specialists and those who are responsible for safe earthing of assets.

Total attendees for the workshop will be 30 and registration will be limited to 2 attendees per organisation.

  • Summary of changes to the guide
  • Transpower and Guide 80
  • Separation of HV/LV earthing for weak MEN systems
  • Brownfields site earthing - safety aspects
  • Electric vehicle charger earthing
  • Speed of protections and fuse operating times

Costs and registration

The cost for EEA Members and staff of Corporate Members is $150.00.00+gst and Non-Members is $185.00+gst.
