Mobile Plant Electrical Hazard Warning Signs


Warning labels are available on order from the EEA. These include the warning required by ECP 34, and authorised by the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010, and other essential safety messages for plant operators.


The labels size and description

ECP 34 requires all mobile plant operating in the vicinity of overhead electric lines to have displayed at the operator position a label warning of electrical hazards associated with operating in the vicinity of overhead conductors.

    • Label size is 90mm x 160mm plus 15mm peel strip
    • Printed full colour on a strong, durable gloss self-adhesive
    • Labels are kiss-cut with an easy-peal strip
    • Warning labels are available in packs of 10's and 100's.

Department of Labour - Information on Farm Access

The Department of Labour has released a letter detailing health and safety liability for electriciy line company employees and contractors.

The letter provides information about the effect of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 (the HSE Act) if a line company worker - whether an employee or a contractor of the company - is injured while carrying out work under the Electricity Act on your property.

The Department wants to assure you that there is no reason why you should refuse access to line company workers because of health and safety liability concerns.
