Best Trade Exhibition Stand

2010 Winner - GE Energy

GE Energy’s stand won them the Best Trade Exhibition Stand Award at the 2010 Electricity Engineers’ Association’s (EEA) annual conference.

“This is the ninth Conference at which we have offered this Award. Each year we never cease to be amazed at the creativity of the exhibition stand layouts, themes and activities to attract delegates and visitors to stand sites. This year we had 99 trade stands representing over eighty companies so the judging task is not getting any easier,’ said Peter Berry, EEA Executive Director.

Trade Exhibitors are an integral part of the EEA Conference and Peter said that the number and quality of the trade exhibition stands at this year’s event was very rewarding particularly given the global economic climate. He also thanked those trade exhibition companies that supported the paper presentation programme at the conference.

“It is a great opportunity to highlight product and service innovation which is vital to our industry future. There are some excellent technical papers on the programme covering technologies we should be using to improve our performance.”

The 2010 EEA ‘Leadership and Innovation' annual conference was held from 17-18 June in the Christchurch Convention Centre.

As well as a wide diversity of papers the conference had an extensive trade exhibition that showcased the technologies, equipment and services that are vital for a modern electricity supply system.

About the Award

Trade Exhibitors are an integral part of the EEA Conference and the Awards judges are always impressed with the quality and amount of interest generated by trade exhibition stands at each year's event.

In judging the Award, consideration is given to the layout of the stand, design flair and creativity, the range of products on display, and the interaction between the stand representatives and the delegates and visitors to the exhibition.
